This is the “Energy Mogul” form the game “Flooded”. He is the badguy in our game. I made, animated and textured the model in Blender.
This is the final model for the "energy mogul". I added some screenshots from blender to show the design process.
I started with a box and modelled the character after the concept art. Using mirror modifier and sub-division surface I made it look like this.
After making the model, I assigned the seams and UV unwrapped the model and painted the textures so it would look like the concept art.
This is how the model looks after I textured it.
Now I rigged the model and tested it out in the animator. The rigging was a bit more difficult because the head is not on top of the body but on the front of the body. I fixed this by manually doing the weight painting.
When everything was done, I animated the character. I made the walking animation look slow and heavy because he's a big character.
